Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant educational team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for young children during their formative years. Responsibilities

  • Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and developmental milestones.
  • Support children’s learning through engaging activities that promote creativity, curiosity, and social interaction.
  • Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring safety and positive behavior management at all times.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence.
  • Support children with personal care routines such as diapering, toileting, and feeding as needed.
  • Observe and document individual children's progress, sharing insights with the teaching team to tailor instruction accordingly.
  • Follow mandated reporting laws to ensure the safety and well-being of all children in accordance with state regulations.
  • Assist in supervising children during play, meals, nap times, and educational activities to ensure safety and engagement.
  • Support classroom management by helping organize materials, set up learning stations, and maintain a clean, organized environment.
  • Support children with special needs or those requiring additional assistance by following individualized plans and working closely with specialists.
  • Follow all health and safety protocols diligently, including first aid procedures when necessary to ensure a secure environment for all children.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with young children in settings such as daycare, preschool, or similar environments.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
  • Certification in pediatric first aid and basic child CPR is highly preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.
  • Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus.
  • Strong classroom management skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Understanding of behavior management techniques suitable for early learners and toddlers.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.25 per hour
