JOB SUMMARY:
Install, repair and fabricate materials out of metal as needed to support Luck Stone operations. Ensure expected availability and function of equipment and structures. Address and resolve immediate safety concerns and suggest or act as appropriate to prevent or minimize foreseeable safety issues. This position will be apart of our traveling construction crew. Travel is Sunday night/Monday (depending on project location) - Thursday. Travel will be to our sites in VA/NC/SC/GA.
Essential Functions
10% of job: Maintain equipment, and tools an uncluttered and organized manner,
performing routine care and maintenance of tools as needed.
10% of job: Request equipment and supplies as needed to support smooth operations
35% of job: Install various items for the purpose of completing projects safely and within
established time frames.
35% of job: Maintain welds and repair metal surfaces on various items using a variety of
processes for the purpose of ensuring the availability, functionality, and safety.
10% of job: Coordinate with others in completing projects/work orders safely and efficiently and promptly respond to immediate safety issues and/or critical repairs as needed.
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: High School diploma or GED
Work Experience
Ability to work under conditions of frequent exposure to dusty conditions and the full range of weather conditions; frequently in, on, and around quarry high walls and pit; extended periods working from elevated positions or in tunnels

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: High School diploma or GED
Work Experience
- Qualified candidates will have 3-5 years' previous experience fabricating in a construction or industrial environment.
- Qualified candidates will have previous structural experience and will be skilled in MIG, STIC and Torch cutting.
- Must be able to pass DOT Physical
- Heavy Equipment operation a plus.
- Good communication skills verbal and written
- Must be multi-tasked
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
