About Lucile's
Lucile's is an American restaurant in The Continental Hotel, a historic boutique hotel. Named one of Iowa's Top 10 Burgers in 2024 and recognized by Travel Iowa as the restaurant to visit in Appanoose County in 2019, Lucile's Steaks and Spirits is hiring a Server/Float/Bartender to join our team. It is a great place to work if you're passionate about serving food and drink to travelers staying at The Continental Hotel as well as locals who have enjoyed our restaurant for 20 years.
Servers
We are looking for an experienced server to provide an excellent guest experience. Bartending experience a plus! Compensation includes salary and tips.
Don't have any experience? That's okay, too! We're happy to train.
Hours
Must be available Monday and Saturday evenings.
Responsibilities
- Interact with customers, take orders and serve food and drinks
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Prep food and drink stations and supplies
- Follow all food handling and beverage service laws and policies.
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons when no bartender on shift.
- Restock and replenish inventory and supplies
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
Skills
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to stand, lift, move quickly, learn by doing and use an iPad
- Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred.
Pay
Base pay for servers is $5.90. After tips, servers/bartenders can expect to see average take-home pay of $12-$18/hour.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $7.25 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 12 per week
