ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re hiring a full-time Senior Sales Development Representative to help us connect with new clients and guide early conversations. You’ll be on the front lines of our growing inbound engine—responding to leads, qualifying opportunities, and booking high quality meetings for the commercial team to further pursue.
This isn’t a high-volume cold-calling role. It’s for someone who enjoys smart, targeted outreach and thoughtful conversations with decision-makers. You’ll balance warm inbound engagement with social-driven outbound efforts—using LinkedIn and other channels to open doors with brand and product teams in life sciences, healthcare, and related fields.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Respond quickly and professionally to inbound leads from our website, LinkedIn, and referrals
- Assess lead quality and determine the appropriate next step — either scheduling a meeting or conducting an initial qualification call
- Conduct short qualification calls to understand client goals, challenges, and project fit
- Proactively follow up with all leads to secure meetings, demonstrating persistence and professionalism in every interaction
- Manage all lead activity and communication in HubSpot, keeping records organized and current
- Support ongoing prospect nurturing through thoughtful follow-up and timely communication
- Engage in social selling — connecting with prospects on LinkedIn, commenting on relevant posts, and starting conversations that align with our brand voice
- Identify and pursue targeted outbound opportunities when relevant
- Collaborate closely with the Commercial Director to continuously refine messaging, qualification criteria, and outreach strategy
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
- 2–4 years of experience in sales development, inside sales, or related roles
- Proven success generating or qualifying leads and booking meetings in a B2B environment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- A confident, consultative approach to conversations — able to engage senior-level prospects professionally and naturally
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple conversations at once
- Comfort using LinkedIn, HubSpot, Gmail, and related sales tools
- Curiosity about technology, healthcare, or creative industries — prior experience is a plus but not required
- A proactive mindset and eagerness to grow in a dynamic, creative environment
WHAT WE OFFER
- Competitive based salary, plus performance based incentives based on achievement of activity metrics and meeting bookings
- Robust company culture committed to our core mission and values
- Amazing group of talented colleagues, and a management team dedicated to transparent leadership and helping everyone grow and thrive
- Employer-sponsored health, vision, and dental
- 401(k) Retirement Plan with company match
- Responsible Paid Time-Off Policy
- Hybrid Work policy
- Parental Leave Policy
- Downtown Durham office with parking
- Monthly team-building events
- The opportunity to work on meaningful projects at the intersection of games, health science, and education
- A collaborative, small-team atmosphere where your contributions have a direct impact
- Professional development opportunities and support for ongoing learning
