Job Summary:
The Forklift Operator Level II is responsible for performing order processing, handling products, and ensuring quality control assurance. This role will oversee the daily receipt, storage, shipping, and distribution of materials to maintain inventory and fulfill shipments. The job will require product and packaging inspection to ensure compliance with specified quality standards before shipping to both internal and external customers.
Scope of Job:
The operator’s daily responsibilities include handling products, as well as managing inventory control, order fulfillment, and distribution. The operator ensures inventory accuracy, processes outbound shipments, and maintains equipment to ensure inventory flow.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Operate Order Picker for 8 hours
- Perform pre-operational checks of equipment.
- Maneuver safely in/out of aisles and up/down racks with awareness of rack space and others.
- Communicate with other departments to discuss and correct quality issues.
- Professionally and clearly communicate with other departments via email, Teams, phone, or face-to-face.
- Pick and process orders accurately.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Pack outbound shipments in accordance with Lucchese Brand Standards.
- Process parcel shipments.
- Understand and perform receiving, picking, packing, and shipping duties.
- Spot check RFID labels are present on goods before shipping them to stores.
- Ensure goods are packaged appropriately based on order fulfillment types.
- Follow Safety practices and procedures.
- Meet or exceed KPI’s.
- Maintain a clean area.
- Perform other duties as needed to support the Lucchese Customer.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience with operating an Order Picker.
- Understand and adhere to quality standards.
- Good computer skills, including the use of warehouse management systems and Office 365.
- Comfortable and fluent with Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
- Strong organizational and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
- Adaptability in a fluctuating environment.
Education, Experience, and/or Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent level of education.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a warehouse or similar field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Logistics Professional, Forklift Certified) are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of walking, standing, and lifting materials.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Comfortable with heights, including operating equipment and moving inventory.
- Able to safely operate an order picker.
- Must be able to hear and listen to communicate effectively.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
