This role supports Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSAs) in civil cases filed against the federal government and requires strong organizational, analytical, and writing skills. The work is performed in a professional federal office environment and involves handling sensitive legal materials. Key Responsibilities The Paralegal will perform a wide range of litigation support functions, including but not limited to:
- Review, organize, and manage large volumes of emails and documents
- Create, maintain, and utilize spreadsheets and databases for case tracking
- Gather factual information and materials from: *
- Federal agencies
- Court records
- Public records
- Read, analyze, and summarize legal and factual materials, including: *
- Court pleadings
- Court orders
- Transcripts and case files
- Draft memoranda and summaries for attorney review
- Track court‑imposed deadlines and ensure compliance
- Coordinate with federal agencies to locate, organize, and produce records
- Conduct factual and legal research and prepare written analyses
- Provide automated litigation support, including: *

- Supporting hearings and court proceedings through document preparation
- Operate litigation support tools and office technology such as scanners and document management systems
- Perform related administrative and litigation support duties as assigned Required Qualifications
- Relevant paralegal or legal support experience (civil litigation preferred)
- Strong writing, organizational, and analytical skills
