Job scope:
Lubing USA in Cleveland, TN is looking for an energetic, motivated, and self-managing individual to join our team as an Industrial Maintenance Technician, responsible for performing both preventative and corrective maintenance on production machinery, mechanical systems, and facility equipment. This role ensures all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably to support continuous manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate has strong, hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to maintaining production uptime.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) on production equipment and supporting systems.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Respond promptly to required corrective maintenance and equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and ensure production continuity, which may require occasional after-hours maintenance activities or on-call response to critical equipment downtime.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, including PM checklists, repairs, and part replacements.
- Assist in developing and improving maintenance programs and schedules.
- Support installation, setup, and calibration of new machinery and equipment.
- Collaborate with production and engineering staffs to identify recurring issues and long-term solutions.
- Maintain a clean/organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and company standards.
- Order or request necessary replacement parts and materials in a timely manner.
- Participate in training programs and stay current with new equipment, tools, and safety procedures.
- Maintain building systems (lighting, HVAC, plumbing, etc.) and manage and coordinate with outside vendors as required.
- Assist with building crates and storage solutions for trade show displays and equipment.
Requirements and Qualification
- High school diploma or GED required; 2 year Technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
- Strong knowledge and troubleshooting of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, pneumatics, and hydraulics is required, while familiarity with PLCs or production automation systems is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, diagnostic instruments, and test equipment.
- Basic skills in manual machining, fabrication, and welding is a plus.
