What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervised Visitation Monitor position at Lubbock County?

Assists in providing efficient Supervised Visitation services, including file maintenance, supervising visits, customer service, and other office support duties.

  • Monitoring non-custodial parents’ interactions with children;
  • Ensuring the Supervised Visitation Center is organized and sanitized after and during every visit;
  • Generate status reports for court, as needed;
  • Respond to questions from disputants/attorneys/courts and agencies;
  • Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with proficiency and minimum supervision. Good communication skills, organization skills, ability to interact with the public, and ability to prioritize are required. Texas motor vehicle operator’s license and automobile insurance or available alternate means of transportation in the relevant service area is required. Must not have been convicted of a Crime of Moral Turpitude.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Requires good communication skills, experience with office-related computer software, and the ability to interact with the public excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; outstanding grammar and vocabulary. Prefer individual with knowledge of civil and criminal justice systems; knowledge of office procedures, including how to operate office equipment; proficiency in a variety of computer software programs; ability to learn about ADR services; organizational and multi-tasking skills; energetic, independent, and self-motivated team player; follow oral and written instruction; knowledge of Code of Ethics for Neutrals and Code of Conduct for Court Personnel.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
