Job Title : Salesforce Forward Deployed Salesforce Engineer FDSE
Job Location : Edison, NJ
ROLE OVERVIEW
The FDSE partners with enterprise clients to design architect and deliver Salesforcenative solutions that drive measurable business outcomes Youll work directly with Csuite and technical stakeholders make highstakes decisions under uncertainty and own client success across discovery design delivery and adoption phases
This role balances technical depth with business acumen and stakeholder leadership Youll spend approximately 50 of your time designing solutions and solving technical problems 30 communicating strategy and managing stakeholders and 20 ensuring adoption and measuring outcomes
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Discovery Strategic Alignment
- Conduct deepdive discovery with executive business and IT stakeholders to uncover real pain points and quantify business impact cost savings revenue uplift risk reduction
- Translate business problems into technical requirements while navigating organizational politics budgets and approval chains
- Build trust with skeptics CFO CIO compliance by addressing their specific concerns and acknowledging constraints
- Navigate competing stakeholder interests and drive alignment toward a unified solution vision
- Solution Architecture Technical Design
- Design endtoend solutions across Salesforce clouds Sales Cloud Service Cloud Commerce Cloud Marketing Cloud
- Engagement Data Cloud Agentforce and integrated platforms
- Make disciplined tradeoffs between speed quality cost and scope while protecting MVP scope against scope creep
Own data architecture decisions data models identity resolution data quality gates integration patterns and securitycompliance implications - Design phased roadmaps with clear gating criteria risk mitigations and stakeholder checkpoints
Identify expansion opportunities and position multiyear strategic roadmaps for upsell and client value growth - Delivery Leadership Execution
- Lead delivery teams engineers data engineers admins through design build test and launch phases
- Make highstakes decisions with incomplete information data quality gaps external dependencies resource constraints stakeholder changes
- Identify technical risks early propose concrete mitigations establish gating criteria and escalate appropriately
- Drive user adoption by designing embedded experiences measuring KPIs iterating on feedback and building stakeholder confidence
- Stakeholder Communication Executive Engagement
- Present technical strategy to nontechnical audiences Translate ROI impact for different stakeholders CFO language costrevenue CIO language riskgovernance sales leader language speedfriction
- Deliver status updates escalation memos and risk communications with clarity and executive presence
- Listen deeply to stakeholder feedback and adapt approach without defensiveness
- Mentor junior engineers and model technical excellence decisionmaking discipline and customer obsession
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Technical Experience
- 10 years of handson Salesforce experience Sales Cloud Service Cloud Marketing Cloud or Data Cloud
- Youve shipped features configured data models integrated external systems and troubleshot production issues
- Deep expertise in at least 2 of Sales Cloud architecture Service Cloud configuration Marketing Cloud Engagement
- Data Cloud AgentforceEinstein Copilot Commerce Cloud or integration design APIs middleware ETL patterns
- Proficiency with SQL and data modeling Comfortable with APIs and APIfirst architecture Can design pseudocode or explain data pipelines Software engineer background not required but technical fluency is
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure databases identity management and compliance frameworks Comfort asking smart questions about adjacent technologies AIML security governance
