Job Title: AS400 Developer
Work Location: Davidson, NC (Hybrid)
Job Description
- 7 to 11 years of experience in AS400 RPG development to lead and enhance business applications using RPG400 and ILE programming
- Develop maintain and enhance applications on the AS400 platform using RPG programming language
- Utilize RPG400 and ILE programming techniques to deliver efficient scalable and robust solutions
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather analyze and translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Perform code reviews and unit testing to ensure high quality and reliable deliverables
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain system stability
- Document technical designs processes and procedures related to AS400 RPG applications
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in AS400 and RPG programming to continuously improve application performance and reliability
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead development efforts on AS400 RPG projects ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices
- Analyze existing systems and recommend improvements or enhancements to optimize performance and scalability
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance within the AS400 RPG400ILE skill cluster family
- Coordinate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and validate requirements effectively
- Manage application lifecycle including deployment maintenance and support activities Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline development and operational processes
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies security standards and regulatory requirements related to AS400 applications

Salary : $130,000 - $140,000
