Job Role: Duck Creek Policy Technical Architect
Job Description
- The Duck Creek Policy Technical Architect is responsible for defining designing and governing end-to-end technical solutions on the Duck Creek Policy platform within the Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance domain
- This role requires deep hands-on expertise in Duck Creek Policy DCOD SaaS and or OnPrem strong architectural skills and the ability to work closely with business stakeholders’ delivery teams and client leadership in an onsite client facing environment
- Architecture Solution Design:
- Own the end-to-end technical architecture for Duck Creek Policy implementations upgrades and transformations new implementations migrations and modernization initiatives
- Define scalable secure and high-performance solution designs aligned with Duck Creek best practices and enterprise architecture standards
- Develop high-level and low-level design artifacts including system architecture diagrams data models integration flows and configuration blueprints
- Duck Creek Policy Platform Leadership:
- Lead architecture and configuration across Duck Creek Policy modules including Author Server Express Manuscripts Forms Rating TransACT Task creation and Batch processing
- Design and govern policy lifecycle workflows underwriting rules referral rules forms and rating strategies in alignment with business requirements
- Ensure optimal usage of out of the box OOB capabilities while designing extensions only where business value is justified
- Integration Enterprise Alignment:
- Architect and oversee integrations between Duck Creek Policy and upstream downstream systems e.g., Billing Claims CRM data warehouses regulatory reporting systems
- Define API based and event driven integration patterns including RESTJSON services and middleware-based integrations
- Collaborate with enterprise architects to ensure alignment with enterprise integration security and data standards
- Delivery Technical Governance:
- Provide technical leadership to development and configuration teams guiding build deployment and release activities
- Establish and enforce architectural governance coding standards and design best practices for Duck Creek implementations
- Review and approve technical designs configurations and custom components to ensure quality scalability and maintainability
- Client Stakeholder Engagement Onsite:
- Act as the primary technical authority in onsite client discussions design workshops and solution reviews
- Translate complex business requirements into clear technical solutions and articulate design decisions to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders
- Support discovery estimation and solutioning activities for new initiatives and change requests
- PreSales Consulting Support
- Contribute to RFPRFI responses including solution architecture effort estimation and technical risk assessment
- Participate in solution defense calls and client presentations as a Duck Creek subject matter expert
