Role Overview
A Data Architect is responsible for designing implementing and managing an organizations data architecture This includes creating scalable secure and efficient data systems that support business goals ensure compliance and enable advanced analytics
Key Responsibilities
Design and Implement Data Architecture Develop enterprise-wide data architecture frameworks models and strategies
Database Design Create and optimize relational and nonrelational databases for storage and processing
Data Governance Establish and enforce data governance policies standards and compliance with regulatory requirements
Integration Migration Design data integration solutions and oversee migration to cloud or hybrid environments
Performance Optimization Monitor and improve data pipeline performance and system scalability
Security Privacy Ensure data security privacy and backup procedures across all systems
Collaboration Work closely with IT teams data engineer’s analysts and business stakeholders to align architecture with organizational goals
Documentation Maintain architecture documentation technical specifications and data flow diagrams
Mentorship Guide and mentor junior team members on best practices in data architecture indeedcom vettiocom interviewguycom atlancom
Required Skills Qualifications
Education Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science Information Systems or related field
Experience 58 years in data architecture or similar roles
Technical Expertise
Strong knowledge of database design data modeling and data warehousing concepts
Proficiency in ETL tools SQL and data integration frameworks
Experience with cloud platforms AWS Azure GCP
Data Governance Familiarity with compliance standards GDPR HIPAA etc
Security Understanding of data security principles and encryption techniques
