Key Responsibilities

Data Pipeline Design Implementation

Develop implement and maintain scalable ETLELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory Azure Synapse and Microsoft Fabric

Ensure robust data integration and high throughput across diverse systems

Query Optimization Data Transformation

Write and optimize complex queries using SQL and KustoKQL

Drive efficient data extraction transformation and loading processes from multiple sources

Data Modeling Semantic Layer Development

Build and maintain tabular models by leveraging a balanced mix of languages including DAX SQL and M language ensure each language is utilized appropriately

Develop models to create efficient semantic layers for highperformance reporting

Database Architecture Schema Design Define and implement fact and dimension tables while managing relationships to support scalable and maintainable data models

Align database architecture with the overall business intelligence strategy

Collaboration Platform Enhancement

Translate complex business requirements into innovative technical solutions

Analytics Dashboard Development

Develop and maintain intuitive data models and datasets in Power BI

Build reports and dashboards tailored to business requirements applying a keen eye for detail and design to deliver visually compelling and actionable insights

Data Governance Quality Assurance

Implement and enforce best practices for data governance quality security and compliance

Monitor data workflows troubleshoot performance issues and ensure high reliability

Privacy Compliance Engagement

Proactively engage in identifying needs and supporting privacy reviews to ensure all data solutions adhere to organizational and regulatory standards

Collaborate with privacy and compliance teams to address data protection requirements throughout the project lifecycle

Documentation Process Improvement

Document data processes architectures and best practices to drive a culture of knowledge sharing

Seek opportunities for improving and automating data processes

Required Skills Qualifications

Technical Expertise

Proven experience in data engineering and business intelligence roles with solid foundations in data modeling ETLELT processes and performance tuning

Experience with one or more of the following

Azure Data Factory ADF

Azure Synapse Analytics DAX

Power BI Power Query

Data Modeling Expertise Demonstrated Proficiency In

Transforming raw big data into structured consumable datasets through the creation of modules and views

Analytical ProblemSolving Skills

Ability to deeply understand complex business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions

Strong analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail

Collaboration Communication

Experience working in agile crossfunctional teams

Excellent English written and verbal communication skills adept at bridging the gap between business and technical stakeholders

Effective Stakeholder Engagement

Skilled at engaging with feature owners to clarify challenge and collaboratively define true business needs ensuring solutions address actual requirements beyond initial requests

Documentation Process Orientation

Detailed documentation and adherence to engineering best practices

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with additional Microsoft engineering systems such as SAW and Torus

Deep understanding of enterprise data governance security protocols and compliance standards

Familiarity with full software development lifecycle and safe deployment practices SDP

Tabular Model Development Designing and implementing tabular models that leverage a balanced mix of

DAX for advanced analytical calculations and business logic

SQL for efficient data extraction transformation and querying

M language for robust data shaping and preparation within Power Query

Exposure to other programming languages eg Python Scala R or advanced analytics tools eg Spark including machine learning frameworks is a plus
