This leadership role is responsible for developing high-value partnerships, driving referral growth, managing business development strategies, and mentoring outreach efforts that increase patient census.The ideal candidate has a proven track record in healthcare business development, strong relationships within pediatric healthcare or behavioral health, and experience building partnerships with physicians, schools, early intervention programs, and community organizations.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Business Development
- Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to achieve referral and census growth goals.
- Identify new market opportunities and establish strategic partnerships throughout NYC, Long Island, and Westchester.
- Build, strengthen, and maintain relationships with pediatricians, primary care providers, hospitals, schools, special education departments, early intervention agencies, regional centers, and community organizations.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and referral patterns to identify growth opportunities.
Partnership & Contract Development
- Lead negotiations for referral agreements, Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), and strategic partnerships with healthcare providers, school districts, hospital systems, and community organizations.
- Develop long-term partnerships that increase referrals and enhance LTE Care Plus's community presence.
- Manage the business development pipeline from prospecting through contract execution.
Referral Network Management
- Expand and maintain a high-performing referral network that consistently generates qualified patient referrals.
- Develop outreach initiatives to increase awareness of LTE Care Plus services.
- Monitor referral sources, conversion rates, and relationship performance to maximize ROI.
- Collaborate with clinical and intake teams to ensure seamless referral-to-enrollment processes.
Leadership & Team Collaboration
- Provide leadership, coaching, and support to Business Development Representatives and Community Liaisons.
- Partner with executive leadership to establish annual growth objectives and territory strategies.
- Work closely with marketing, intake, and clinical teams to align business development initiatives with organizational goals.
- Participate in strategic planning and organizational growth initiatives.
Community Engagement & Brand Representation
- Represent LTE Care Plus at healthcare conferences, networking events, school meetings, health fairs, and community outreach programs.
- Deliver presentations to healthcare providers, educational organizations, and community stakeholders.
- Strengthen LTE Care Plus's brand awareness and reputation throughout the assigned territories.
Reporting & Performance Management
- Maintain accurate records of business development activities, referrals, contracts, and partnership opportunities using CRM software.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on pipeline activity, referral growth, partnership development, and performance metrics.
- Track KPIs including referral volume, conversion rates, contract status, and market penetration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of business development experience in healthcare, behavioral health, home care, ABA therapy, or related healthcare services.
- Demonstrated success in increasing patient census and developing strategic referral partnerships.
- Existing relationships with pediatricians, physician groups, schools, early intervention agencies, hospitals, or developmental disability organizations within the NYC metropolitan area strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of Medicaid-funded services, ABA therapy, developmental disability services, or pediatric healthcare preferred.
- Strong negotiation, networking, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience using CRM systems to manage sales pipelines and referral activities.
- Ability to travel extensively throughout NYC, Long Island, and Westchester.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing healthcare business development teams or mentoring outreach staff.
- Established network within pediatric healthcare, behavioral health, or developmental disability services.
- Experience negotiating healthcare partnership agreements and referral contracts.
