We are seeking an experienced and driven Lead HVAC Technician to lead one of our field operations team. This hands-on role is responsible for installing new HVAC systems, diagnosing and repairing equipment, performing routine maintenance, and has 100% command of retrofits.
You will be responsible for the installation of new units, repairing pre-existing units, and troubleshooting all types of HVAC-related issues. For new installs/replacements, you will have a small team to assist you.
The ideal candidate is a skilled technician with strong leadership abilities who can guide and develop a team while ensuring top-quality work and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee a team of HVAC technicians and helpers during job assignments.
- Install, diagnose, service, and repair HVAC systems (residential and/or commercial).
- Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure system efficiency and longevity.
- Provide on-the-job training, mentorship, and guidance to junior team members.
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with code and manufacturer specifications.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members to provide updates and resolve issues.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and properly stocked.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and contribute to team development.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; HVAC technical certification or degree preferred
- 4 years of HVAC experience, including installation, diagnostics, and maintenance
- 1 years of team leadership or crew supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and diagnostic techniques.
- Can solve and resolve any HVAC issue.
- EPA 608 Certification required; NATE certification a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in varied environments (attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, etc.).
