What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tool and Die Repair position at LTC ROLL AND ENGINEERING?
We are seeking an experienced Tool Maker & Die Repair Technician to join our automotive manufacturing team. This role is responsible for building, maintaining, and repairing production dies and tooling to ensure efficient operations and high-quality output.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, repair, and maintain stamping dies, roll forming tooling, and fixtures
- Diagnose and correct die/tooling issues to minimize downtime
- Perform die setups, adjustments, and test runs to meet specifications
- Operate manual and CNC machines, grinders, mills, lathes, and EDM equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings
- Conduct preventive maintenance and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve tooling issues
- Comply with all safety standards and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Completion of Tool & Die Apprenticeship or equivalent experience
- 3–5 years’ experience in tool making, die repair, or precision machining (automotive preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting and machining skills
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 & ISO 14001 standards preferred
***This is a 2nd Shift position (3:30 PM - 2:00 AM) and will include a $2/hour shift premium.***

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
