Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Deerfield Beach, FL, for an Automation Engineer. In this role, the engineer will be responsible for designing, programming, testing, and commissioning PLC and HMI-based control systems. Additional duties include troubleshooting control system issues, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project completion, and providing ongoing technical support for customers.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting Siemens PLCs (e.g., STEP 7, TIA Portal) and/or Rockwell PLCs (e.g., RSLogix, ControlLogix).
- Experience with HMI systems such as Siemens WinCC and Rockwell RSView.
- Strong knowledge of control system design, implementation, and commissioning.
- Ability to perform diagnostics, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support for automation systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with relevant industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus).
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
- Willingness to work on-site in Deerfield Beach, FL, and travel to client locations as required.
- Experience with project management and working in cross-functional teams is a plus.
- Certifications in Siemens or Rockwell automation technologies are advantageous.
