Location: Campus and online Begin: August 15, 2026 The Department of Chemistry and Physics at Louisiana State University at Alexandria invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Chemistry. This is a 9-month position to begin in August 2026. This position focuses on providing high quality instruction in undergraduate chemistry courses both on campus and online. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Chemistry with teaching experience in a wide range of areas, including General, Analytical, & Instrumental Analysis. The opportunity exists to develop additional upper-level classes in the candidate’s area of expertise. Qualifications: A graduate degree with at least 18 hours in Chemistry (not Chemistry or Science Education) Teaching experience, preferably at the college level. Ability to convey chemistry concepts in a clear and engaging manner. Commitment to excellence in teaching. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Primary Responsibilities: Develops and teaches lecture and laboratory courses as assigned, both in-person and online.
