In partnership with Lindauer, the LSU Health Sciences Foundation is seeking a Senior Director of Development to support LSU Health Shreveport and the Ochsner LSU Health System of North Louisiana.
This is an opportunity to join a growing academic medical center advancing medical education, research, and patient care across the region while building a new grateful patient and family giving program.
The Senior Director of Development will serve as a frontline fundraiser responsible for cultivating and securing major gifts of $25,000 and above while helping expand this emerging grateful patient program.
Working closely with clinical leaders and faculty physicians, the Senior Director will build relationships with patients and families whose experiences inspire philanthropic investment in LSU Health Shreveport and Ochsner LSU Health.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with clinical faculty and staff to identify grateful patient prospects and cultivate philanthropic relationships.
- Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and secure gifts of $25,000 and above in support of clinical care, research, and education.
- Collaborate with physicians, service line leaders, and development colleagues to develop fundraising strategies aligned with institutional priorities.
- Build and steward relationships with patients and families to strengthen a culture of philanthropy across the academic medical center.
- Mentor and collaborate with junior development staff while contributing to the growth of the Foundation’s development program.
