LSSI is hiring a full time Child Welfare Assistant
Under the general supervision of the Program Director, Supervisor or designee, performs a variety of social work, group and outreach activities to individuals and families.

Essential Functions:

• Perform all tasks as required in the written plan.
• Meet productivity requirements as established by the Program Director or designee.
• Provide client monitoring and linkage to appropriate services both within LSSI and other community agencies.
• Complete and submit all necessary reports, billing, and documentation accurately and on time as required by agency and funding sources.
• Communicate with supervisor, work group and collateral agencies regarding individual’s and/or family needs.
• Transport clients as needed.
• Work in collaboration with the network management team and/or other intra-agency entities on programmatic, fiscal, community and organizational issues.
• Commit to and actively participate in the continuous improvement process; promote the integration of Continuous Improvement Principles in services.
• Demonstrate sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural difference present in the agency’s service population.
• Respond to all incoming correspondence and questions in a timely manner; including but not limited to inquires received via email, telephone, text message, and fax.
• Ensure reasonable measures are taken to protect confidential and/or sensitive information as well as ensuring the security of all LSSI systems is maintained.
• Responsible for completing all required training assignments as well as complying with the related organizational, administrative, and programmatic policies.
• Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned.

Position Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates degree with two years of college preferred.
• Record of compliance with the law and clearance on the Illinois CANTS.
• Basic knowledge of child development and parenting or equivalent life experience preferred.
• Age requirement may apply.
• Good organization and pc/computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with other related software.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clear, comprehensible manner.
