Job Title: Engineering Co‑Op
Department: Engineering
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Reports To: Sr. Manager, Process Engineering and Continuous Improvement
FLSA Status: Hourly
The Engineering Co‑Op will support the Philadelphia Engineering team across a wide range of technical projects within Process Engineering, Project Engineering, and Reliability Engineering. This role offers hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, providing opportunities to contribute to meaningful operational improvements and real‑world engineering challenges.
Local candidates in the Philadelphia tri‑state area are strongly preferred.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to carry out each essential duty effectively.
- Support product launches by drafting and executing engineering test protocols.
- Draft and execute change documentation.
- Develop equipment setup sheets, rapid changeover guides, troubleshooting guides, and standard work documents.
- Assist with equipment troubleshooting and performance‑improvement initiatives.
- Support equipment commissioning projects.
- Maintain and enhance Engineering technical databases and internal tools.
- Provide production support, including hands‑on work with packaging equipment.
- Adhere to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Maintain reliable and consistent attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager/Supervisor.
Required:
- Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong college‑level mathematical skills.
- Intermediate computer proficiency, with the ability to perform complex tasks using various software programs.
- Full professional proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
- High-level reasoning skills, including the ability to:
- Define problems
- Collect and analyze data
- Establish facts
- Draw valid conclusions
- Interpret complex technical instructions, diagrams, and variable conditions
- Ability to follow instructions and respond positively to management direction.
