Partner – Government Audit & Assurance

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Partner to help lead and grow our Government Audit & Assurance practice across Alabama and the broader Southeast region. This role is ideal for a proven public accounting professional who thrives on building relationships, developing new business, and leading high-performing teams serving municipalities and public sector entities.
As a key member of our leadership team, you will drive strategic growth, deepen client relationships, and contribute to expanding LSL’s presence in the government sector.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and oversee government audit and assurance engagements for cities, counties, and special districts.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships with municipal and public sector leaders.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, presentations, and strategic outreach.
- Mentor and develop staff, fostering a culture of excellence, integrity, and teamwork.
- Collaborate with firm leadership to shape strategy, enhance processes, and drive continued expansion in the region.
- Stay current with GASB, GAAS, and other government audit standards.
Qualifications
- Active CPA license required.
- 10 years of progressive public accounting experience, with a focus on government audit and assurance.
- Demonstrated success in business development and client growth.
- Strong network and established relationships with municipal and public sector organizations in Alabama or the Southeast region.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Passion for mentoring teams and driving innovation in audit service delivery.
