Commercial Assurance Intern

- Assist with audit, review, and compilation procedures under the guidance of senior team members.
- Help analyze client financial information and prepare supporting workpapers.
- Participate in testing internal controls and documenting findings through inquiry and observation.
- Support the team in performing year-end and interim audit procedures, such as inventory counts and reconciliations.
- Work closely with in-charge auditors to prepare concise, well-organized documentation that clearly communicates your work.
- Learn how to apply basic audit and accounting principles (FASB, GAAP, SSARS/GAAS) in a real-world setting.
- Gain exposure to audit software and technology tools used to improve efficiency and quality.
- Communicate progress and ask questions regularly — collaboration and curiosity are key!
- Develop professional skills in teamwork, communication, and problem solving.
Requirements To Be Successful
- Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to read, write, speak, and interpret rules, procedures, and routine correspondence in English
- Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Well-rounded knowledge of accounting principles
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. is required
- Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future.
