Position: Part-time Chef/Cook
Shifts Available: 6:30 am - 2:30 pm (part-time)
Hourly: $18–$23/hour, depending on experience.
Service Area: Elk River, MN 55330
In this position, you will be responsible for preparing food in accordance with prescribed resident/tenant diet specifications, facility procedures, and dietary and sanitary regulations. Duties include:
- Prepare and serve food and meals in accordance with planned menus, diet plans, recipes, portions, and temperature control procedures.
- Direct and assist in cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment, floors, dishes, and utensils.
- Check all trays for menu and diet requirements, preferences, and accuracy.
Ensure proper storage for food and supplies. - Review and process diet changes and ensure menus are maintained and followed in accordance with established procedures.
- Ensure that food and supplies are available for the next meals.
- Assist with inventory and storing incoming foods and supplies.
- Report any hazardous conditions, equipment, accidents, and incidents.
- Adhere to universal precautions and sanitary, safety, and infection control policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a senior living setting is preferred.
- Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, residents’ families, and employees.
- Must possess advanced computer skills, including email use.
