Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining and be adept at operating various machinery, including milling machines and power tools. This role requires precision and attention to detail to ensure high-quality production of components. The Manual Machinist will work with a variety of materials, including plastics, and will be responsible for assembling parts according to specifications.
Responsibilities
- Operate milling machines and other manual machining equipment to produce high-quality components.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy in dimensions and tolerances.
- Assemble machined parts and perform necessary adjustments for optimal fit and function.
- Collaborate with engineering teams using SolidWorks for design modifications and tooling requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in the setup of injection molding processes when required.
- Operate forklifts safely for material handling within the production area.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Manual Machinist with proficiency in machining processes.
- Familiarity with Mazatrol programming is a plus.
- Strong skills in using power tools and precision measuring instruments.
- Experience with plastics injection molding is desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge of tooling design and assembly processes is beneficial.
- Forklift certification preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
