**THIS POSITION IS IN MCPHERSON**
McPherson Plastics plant is looking for a day shift shipping and receiving operator. This position works 6am-3pm Monday-Friday with a starting pay of $19.76. As a shipping & receiving operator, you will support our day-to-day warehouse operations. In this role, you’ll be responsible for handling raw materials and finished goods, ensuring accurate and timely shipments and deliveries in a fast-paced production environment. Must have forklift experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Receive incoming shipments of raw materials, including PVC resins, additives, and packaging supplies
• Verify product counts and inspect materials for damage or discrepancies
• Prepare and load outgoing shipments of finished plastic products, ensuring proper packaging and labeling
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move products safely
• Maintain inventory accuracy through proper documentation and data entry into warehouse management systems
• Coordinate with production and quality control teams to ensure timely movement of materials
• Keep shipping/receiving areas clean, organized, and in compliance with safety standards
• Adhere to plant safety protocols and wear proper PPE at all times
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse work, preferably in a manufacturing or plastics environment
• Forklift certification or willingness to become certified
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Basic computer skills and experience with inventory tracking systems
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a non-climate-controlled environment
