Sanitation Worker – Dusty Environment
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Sanitation Worker to maintain cleanliness and safety in a high-dust industrial environment. This role is responsible for removing dust buildup, ensuring equipment and work areas remain clean, and supporting overall facility hygiene and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize production areas, floors, walls, and equipment in dusty environments
- Remove dust, debris, and waste using vacuums, blowers, and other cleaning tools
- Follow proper procedures for handling dust and hazardous materials
- Dispose of trash and waste in designated areas
- Maintain cleaning equipment and report any malfunctions
- Follow all safety guidelines, including use of PPE (mask, goggles, gloves, etc.)
- Support production teams by maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- Perform routine inspections to identify sanitation issues or buildup
- Comply with company policies and OSHA safety standards
Qualifications:
- Previous sanitation, janitorial, or industrial cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to work in dusty, hot, or noisy environments
- Comfortable wearing PPE for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Basic understanding of safety procedures
