What are the responsibilities and job description for the Refrigeration Technician position at LSI Staffing?
LSI Staffing in partnership with Smithfield Foods in Orange City, IA is currently hiring for a reliable, skilled Refrigeration / Ammonia technician for 1st and 3rd shift. Refrigeration Technicians maintain, diagnose, repair, rebuild, adjust, perform preventive maintenance and install equipment within and around the facility so as to keep the production operational.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- Knowledge on basic mechanics, HVAC, ammonia refrigeration, operation of pumps, hydraulics, troubleshooting, basic pneumatics, drive components
- Install and replace bearing and shaft seals
- Reading, math, and writing analytical skills required
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be able to pass pulmonary function test
