Tree Crew Member (Groundsman)

Job Overview

LSI is looking for a Tree Crew Member to join our team. Working in teams and to help maintain landscape health, clear hazardous branches, and clean up job sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Tree Operations: Help trim, prune, and remove live, dead, or storm-damaged trees.
• Groundwork: Operate woodchippers, brush mowers, stump grinders, and chainsaws.
• Rigging Support: Manage ropes, pull lines, and hoist tools to support climbers and aerial bucket truck operators.
• Site Cleanup: Clear, chop, and load cut brush and logs onto trucks for disposal.
• Safety Compliance: Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety rules around traffic and power lines.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Age & Licensing: Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license (CDL is often a plus).
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50–80 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in extreme heat or cold.
• Teamwork: Good communication skills to follow instructions from crew leaders and work safely with teammates.
