Role Purpose Statement
Responsible for overseeing the daily maintenance operations within the airline catering facility. Ensures timely repairs, effective preventive maintenance, and strict adherence to safety and operational standards. Serves as the primary point of contact for technical issues, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to minimize downtime and maintain facility reliability.
Main Accountabilities
- Supervise, assign, and schedule maintenance technicians for daily tasks and preventive maintenance activities.
- Respond promptly to equipment and facility breakdowns to reduce operational disruptions.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety, regulatory, and company standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance work, inspections, and repairs; provide regular updates to the Facility Maintenance Manager.
- Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs and monitor service quality and adherence to contractual expectations.
- Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance equipment reliability and facility performance.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Strong technical knowledge of facility systems, including HVAC a must, electrical, and plumbing.
- Education: High School diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree in HVAC, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical field preferred.
- Certification in HVAC, Refrigeration, or a related discipline (e.g., EPA 608 Certification, HVAC Technician Certification) strongly preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience supervising maintenance teams in industrial, manufacturing, or food production environments.
- Familiarity with relevant safety, regulatory, and compliance standards.
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks, troubleshoot issues, and respond quickly to operational needs.
- Proficiency in maintenance management systems; experience with MaintainX and Procure is a plus.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
