Job Description Summary As a member of the Power Segment FP&A team, you will be an active contributor to the implementation of key Finance FP&A priorities, performing standard FP&A responsibilities (pacing, planning, budgeting, closing, and reporting), championing standard work with Corporate and Tier 2 businesses, and supporting Power CEO/CFO reports and analytics, including Investor relations. The role will oversee and provide strategic direction towards managing the consolidated reporting during key financial milestones, including quarter close, Finance MORs, planning sessions, and operating reviews. The role will partner with the Income Statement Leader and FP&A Leader to articulate the overall business story and provide analytics to shape/support business strategy, including support for investor relations framing/messaging. Job Description What you’ll do Financial analytics: This individual will play a critical role in the FP&A activities related to the Power segment to drive understanding of results and forecasts. This individual will partner with the Income statement FP&A leader to provide standard reporting for the consolidated segment, including Tier 2 business line financials, trends, and details around key financial accounts (orders, sales, gross margin, EBITDA, FCF). This individual will be the point person on developing a comprehensive understanding of profit drivers and changes versus the prior year/plan in partnership with the Income statement FP&A leader. Planning & pacing: Gather key planning and pacing inputs and will partner with the Tier 2 FP&A teams to understand and track the key assumptions in the case, as well as punch-list items, risks, and opportunities. This person will also be responsible for preparing critical information for Corporate and Investor relations to build the equity and investor narrative Closing & reporting: Coordination of the process to standard data submissions from the Tier 2 business lines allowing for timely preparation and articulation of standard financial analytics, including variance analysis, profit walks, and income-statement focused reporting packs. Champion standard work efforts: Play a critical role in establishing and prioritizing the “services and products” for financial planning and reporting, including developing standard processes and tools for the different FP&A cycles (i.e. Workiva, profit walk consistency, etc.) Other responsibilities: Build and maintain collaborative relationships with Corporate FP&A, Tier 2 FP&A, & IR for smooth information flow and common understanding. Communication of timelines, deliverables, assumptions, etc. to Tier 2s to ensure timeliness submission of data. Management of Power HQ cost/budget/eliminations Drive significant, broad strategic projects to support investment allocation, financial goal settings, etc. Preparation and subsequent maintenance of CEO “fact book” and “Power KPI file” What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications) Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college in finance, accounting, or related field At least 4 years of experience in finance roles of increasing responsibility What will make you stand out Preference will be given to current Power finance employees. Financial acumen, preferably in the Energy industry Familiarity with Power financial systems and tools. Ability to lead conversations with broad group of stakeholders (i.e., Tier 2 FP&A teams, Corporate FP&A team) Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
