Hours are 11:30-7PM

Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques.
- Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging, including 3D scans when applicable, while maintaining proper radiation safety standards.
- Manage patient records electronically using Open Dental ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Measure vital signs such as blood pressure and pulse; assess patient comfort levels; and document medical history accurately for comprehensive medical documentation.
- Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, updating medical and dental records, and assisting with billing or coding using medical coding standards.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of dental terminology and anatomy to effectively communicate with team members and patients.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with dental assisting procedures including chairside assisting, infection control practices, and taking X-rays is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Open Dental ; proficiency in medical terminology; and understanding of HIPAA compliance are important for success in this role.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and collaborate seamlessly with the dental team.
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
