About LRX GolfLRX Golf is a fast-growing, youth-based team golf league founded to give teens hands-on experience in sports management, competition, and creativity. Originating in New Orleans, LRX has expanded into Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama—offering both players and interns the chance to be part of something innovative in the world of youth sports.
Position OverviewWe’re looking for a passionate and creative Social Media Intern to join the LRX Golf team for the 2026 season. This role is perfect for students interested in sports media, marketing, and communications who want to gain real-world experience managing multiple brand accounts and helping shape the voice of a growing sports organization.
You’ll play a key role in how the league connects with fans, players, and sponsors—helping tell the story of LRX Golf across digital platforms.
Pages You’ll ManageYou’ll help manage and create content for several key LRX accounts, each with its own focus and audience:
- Inside LRX (@insidelrx): The league’s main media outlet featuring player interviews, match highlights, and behind-the-scenes coverage.
- LRX Golf (@lrxgolf): The official league page focused on updates, team features, events, and announcements.
- LRX Commissioner (@lrxcommissioner): The commissioner’s personal page, sharing insight, leadership updates, and news from inside the organization.
- LRX Communications (@lrxcommunications): The internal communications and branding hub for the league, focused on design, media releases, and partnerships.
- Manage and grow the above pages across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, X (Twitter), and LinkedIn
- Create and schedule engaging content, including graphics, videos, and stories
- Design materials in Canva, such as:
- Tournament scorecards
- On-course signage
- Merchandise mockups and branding pieces
- Capture and edit photos and videos from events and matches
- Monitor engagement and contribute creative ideas for campaigns and collaborations
- Work alongside the LRX Directors’ Council and Operations Team to maintain consistent branding and messaging
- Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, X, and LinkedIn
- Basic to intermediate experience with Canva or similar design tools
- Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills
- Interest in sports, golf, or digital media
- Ability to work independently and meet content deadlines
- A creative mindset and willingness to learn
- Practical experience managing professional social media accounts for a sports league
