On-Site Resident Manager / Community Portfolio Manager Nonprofit Multi-Family Residence Portfolio — Fullerton, Brea & La Habra
LRS Realty & Management is hiring a full-time On-Site Resident Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a nonprofit's multi-family residence portfolio with properties located throughout Fullerton, Brea, and La Habra. This is a live-on-site position — the selected candidate will reside at one of the properties and serve as the primary on-site contact for residents. The portfolio is owned by a 501(c)(3) organization that has been empowering underserved communities to build wealth through affordable housing, financial education, and counseling services since 1977.
Position Details:
- Pay: Starting at $24.00/hr (non-exempt, paid semi-monthly)
- Hours: Full-time, up to 40 hours per week
- Housing: On-site 3-bedroom apartment provided (1/3 rental credit)
- Allowances: Monthly phone allowance vehicle/gas reimbursement at the IRS mileage rate
Role Summary: Live on-site and assist the property supervisor with the overall management, marketing, and leasing of the nonprofit's multi-family portfolio across Fullerton, Brea, and La Habra. This is a hands-on, resident-facing role that requires balancing resident relations with a housing-first, community-centered approach — consistent with the organization's mission of serving low- and moderate-income households.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily property operations, including marketing, leasing, and resident relations.
- Conduct routine property inspections and maintain property cleanliness and safety.
- Supervise rent collections and make bank deposits.
- Coordinate and supervise housekeeping of property grounds, maintenance, and repairs.
- Assist the maintenance department as directed.
- Ensure government portfolio documentation compliance — prepare and submit all required records, reports, and documentation.
- Support resident lease and housing regulation compliance.
- Provide high-quality customer service to residents.
- Use property management software (AppFolio).
Qualifications:
- On-site property management experience required.
- Bilingual in both English and Spanish
- Experience with affordable housing, nonprofit portfolios, or government-funded housing programs preferred.
- Valid California Driver's License and current vehicle insurance required.
- Must pass a background check.
- Organized, reliable, and a strong communicator.
