Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Construction Estimator located in Maitland, FL. The Construction Estimator will be responsible for day-to-day tasks including analyzing bidding opportunities if the project fits within our range & current time frame with backlogs and "WIPS", You are to read the drawings & analyze plan details to prepare construction estimates, performing quantity take-offs on our plan swift software, and cost management. The role also involves budgeting, preparing bid proposals, and effective communication with project managers and clients to ensure accurate project forecasting and financial reporting & to also be of an advisor with value engineering towards clients.
Qualifications
- Experience in Construction Estimating and performing Quantity Take-offs. (No experience will be considered as well)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word.
- Experience managing plan swift software.
- Tech Savy
- Strong skills in Cost Management and Budgeting
- Excellent Communication skills.
- Excellent Negotiation skills.
- Ability to build relationships with established vendors and subcontractors and new ones.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and on-site.
- Previous experience in the construction industry is preferred.
- Customer Service Skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
