Transportation Manager - must have transportation and one year HR experience

Job Overview
This is a full-time on-site role located in Clarksburg, TN for a Transportation Manager/HR professional for an Equipment hauling company. This role will be responsible for directing operations for transportation hauling, coordinating and supervising overall operations, activities, and drivers, planning and managing operations across a team of drivers. Must have over dimensional permit routing experience.

The role will involve planning and scheduling routes and ensuring delivery requirements are met on time. Recruiting and hiring OTR and Day drivers. Performing backgrount checks, PSP reports, drug screenings, MVR reports, etc. HR management, handling, HR policies, managing employee benefits, and overseeing personnel management. Pay DOE

Qualifications

• Managing our Over the Road drivers and one day cab driver
• Recruiting new OTR drivers
• Knowledge of Sawmill equipment & machinery a plus
• Ordering over dimensional permits
• Human Resources (HR) and HR Management skills
• Experience in developing HR policies and managing employee benefits
• Personnel Management skills
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team
• Experience in the transportation industry is a plus
• Knowledge of OSHA
• Knowledge of DOT Regulations
• Knowledge of Current Industry Wages
• Knowledge of Labor Laws
• Benefits Management
• Time Keeping
• Answering Phones
• Personnel File Management
• Monitoring Cameras
• Conducting Interviews/Hiring and Firing
• Certified CHRM Is A Plus but not required
