About the Role
The Crane Superintendent is responsible for the safe, efficient operation of company‑owned and third‑party cranes on construction projects. This role oversees crane operations, equipment management, and workforce planning while ensuring compliance with all safety standards and customer requirements. The position works closely with project teams to support production goals, control costs, and maintain reliable crane availability.
Key Qualifications
- Proven experience as a crane operator with leadership or supervisory responsibility
- Strong knowledge of crane safety, operations, and maintenance
- Valid crane operator certification (NCCER/NCCCO preferred)
- Ability to lead, coach, and support field personnel
- Willingness to travel and support multiple project needs
Minimum Qualifications/Experience/Education
- High School Diploma or GED
- NCCER or NCCCO Mobile Crane operator certification - 7 years minimum preferred
- Current driver license with a good driving record
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software
- Proven experience as a Crane Operator with experience in supervisory or managerial roles
- Valid crane operator certification/license in compliance with industry regulations
- Strong understanding of crane operation techniques, safety protocols, and maintenance practices
- Willing/able to travel
- Budget conscious and resourceful
