Barista/Cashier/Food Prep

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be the face of our coffee shop, responsible for crafting high-quality beverages and providing exceptional customer service. You will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while ensuring that all food safety and handling standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including equipment, utensils, and customer areas.
• Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Assist customers with menu selections and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
• Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies; assist with restocking as needed.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of food handling practices.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours while managing time effectively.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of food safety practices within the food industry.
• Experience in food handling and preparation is preferred.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS or similar platforms is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
• A passion for coffee and providing outstanding customer service is essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $19.00 per hour
