COMPANY BACKGROUND
LPM is a privately held company that is dedicated to the resourceful use of water. We have been delivering automated metering solutions to address the unique challenges facing the water industry for over 5 years.
We are looking for qualified water meter installers with on site training available.
DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking highly motivated and safety-conscious individuals to join the team. LPM has partnered with Unify and the City of Norman OK to install water meters within the city. We are looking to fill a few remaining residential/commercial water meter technician positions. If you are a self-starter, quality minded, enjoy working outdoors, and looking for a chance to earn nearly unlimited compensation, this may be the right position for you.
· Conduct utility water meter services throughout assigned areas
· Safely and efficiently install the water meters accurately and associated equipment with various hand tools and manage your daily allotment of inventory
· Read & record data information accurately in a mobile hand-held device, basic computer skills are helpful
· Follow standard operating procedures and company policies
· Communicate with utility customers effectively and respectfully
· Receive and return utility meters, tools, equipment, and supplies each day
REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous work history as water meter installer listed on resume
- Able to bend, stoop, walk constantly and lift up to 75 lbs.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work alone 90% of the time, while still being part of a local team.
- Ability to assemble and disassemble plumbing components
- Must be able to work well with hand-held electronic devices.
- Must be able to work outdoors and withstand the regional, seasonal weather.
- Should have reliable transportation.
- Strong work ethic and dependable; Consistent attendance is imperative.
- Must have a valid driver's license & reliable work vehicle with current insurance.
- Must be drug-free, able to pass employment background check, and have a clean driving record.
- Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers.
- Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements.
- Attention to detail and accuracy is a must.
This is a piece rate position; wages are based on number of meters exchanged, there is a 90 day trial period.

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday (generally following hours of local city water utility)
Experience:
- Water Meter Installation: 2 years (Preferred) (Newcomers are welcome to apply however)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
Ability to Travel/Commute:
- Norman, OK (Required)
- Lodging is provided during work week
