What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at LPM Property Management?
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is responsible for assisting the Property Manager in performing all duties and functions required for the efficient operation of their multi-family communities and commercial properties. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior of assigned communities. Additionally, the Maintenance Technician must ensure the proper operation of all appliances, heating and cooling units, plumbing, and light fixtures. The Maintenance Technician will be provided all tools necessary to satisfactorily complete the job functions.
*Duties*
- Perform maintenance duties, including electrical, plumbing, drywall, appliance repairs, improvements, and other maintenance duties.
- Perform all maintenance requests correctly and within the allotted time frame
- Monitor residential communities to insure that all company policies and procedures are followed to maintain standards for safety, quality, and overall company and tenant satisfaction
- Responsible for painting common areas, and necessary staining and cleaning, as assigned
- Perform sidewalk snow removal for snowfall less than 2”
- Perform lawn care program to include operation & maintenance of sprinkler system, if applicable
- Perform inspections with Property Manager and correct noted deficiencies in a timely manner
- Implements a preventative maintenance program with the Property Manager’s involvement and maintains copies in the maintenance room and community office.
- Repairs and maintains community equipment and the physical structure of the communities he/she is assigned
*Qualifications*
- Previous property management experience preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of property management and marked ability to analyze and respond to site problems
- Working knowledge of electricity and considerable mechanical ability to analyze equipment and their function and repair.
- The ability to maintain confidentiality in regards to information and situations
- Must have Valid Driver’s License and Automobile Insurance
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Working knowledge of fair housing regulations
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen
