What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Pastry Sous Chef position at LPM - Boston?
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Junior Pastry Sous Chef to join the opening pastry team at La Petite Maison (LPM) in Boston.
LPM is a globally recognized French-Mediterranean restaurant group with venues in London, Dubai, Hong Kong, Mykonos, and beyond. Boston is our latest chapter — and we're building the team that will define it.
If you take pride in your craft, care about the details that make a dessert memorable, and are ready to grow within a professional kitchen environment, this role is for you.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Sous Chef and culinary leadership, you will support the day-to-day operations of the pastry kitchen — overseeing production, maintaining quality and consistency across all desserts and baked goods, and mentoring junior pastry team members. You'll be hands-on from prep through service, and step up to lead the section when needed.
Your Profile
Pastry Craft
You have a minimum of 2–4 years in an upscale or fine dining pastry environment, with solid technique across desserts, plated presentations, breads, and baked goods. You understand what consistency looks like and hold yourself and your section to it.
Leadership
You're comfortable guiding Commis and junior pastry cooks, giving clear direction during production and service without losing your composure. You lead by doing.
Standards & Compliance
You're across food safety and sanitation practices. Familiarity with Massachusetts food safety regulations is a plus — if not, you're ready to get certified.
Adaptability
You handle the pressure of a high-volume service, adapt when things don't go to plan, and never let it show on the plate.

- Career progression within an international restaurant group
