.NET / Cloud Tech Lead Manager

Job Overview :

For this position of Assistant Vice President, on the Investment Management and Trading team, we are seeking a result-driven and goal-oriented .NET / Cloud Tech Lead Manager to create highly available and performant systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing high throughput, mission-critical business applications using Cloud-based technologies. They should be well-versed in financial, trading, and advisory technologies. As a technology-savvy leader, you will work with cross-functional teams to ensure development, deliver quality, and meet deadlines. This hands-on technical lead role in the trading organization will involve designing, architecting, and developing cloud-native and on-prem services to support LPL’s overall strategy and transformation.

Responsibilities :

Lead a tech team to design, develop, test and implement highly available and scalable technical solutions based on business requirements and strategic direction.

Deep understanding and seasoned on AWS platform and Cloud DevOps.

Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including architecture, data, product, and business partners, and strategies to scale and modernize existing trading platforms.

Work collaboratively with quality assurance engineering teams, DevOps and PMO to ensure all SDLC processes and Agile best practices are followed.

Code and implement guardrails to enable self-service and frictionless delivery allowing teams to build and own end-to-end applications and services in the cloud.

Formulating workable solutions to complex challenges, logically deliberating on courses of action by examining and challenging assumptions, discerning hidden value, objectively evaluating evidence, and assessing conclusions.

Measure success by say / do, velocity, defect remediation, and clear value to the trading platforms.

Provide technical leadership to teammates through technical design and implementation of industry best practices adhering to LPL’s modernization practices, cloud practices, SDLC and release management processes.

Provide production support, maintain, troubleshoot, optimize and enhance trading platforms / applications.

Ensure service level agreements and contingency activities are covered related to system / application availability ensuring zero Advisor experience disruption.

Requirements :

BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

4 years of progressive experience in owning and driving full stack applications as hands-on Engineering Tech Lead - guiding, solutioning, delivering, and documenting team’s development efforts towards successful project delivery and application support

8 experience with the following technologies : .NET core, AWS / Azure with Kubernetes and Docker, SQL / Postgres / MongoDB, Kafka, Microservices, Angular, and Typescript

6 years of experience with designing scalable APIs using containers over Docker / Kubernetes

Familiarity with caching techniques and stores such as Elasticache, Redis, GridGain, etc.

Experience with front-end platforms, like Angular and Nx.Js, along with test platforms such as Cypress, Jest, etc.

Core Competencies :

Experience with owning and production support of mission-critical applications.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both technical and non-technical.

Strong estimation, foresight, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to interface effectively with senior SVP / EVP level executives and business stake holders.

Capable of effectively planning, prioritizing and executing tasks utilizing resources and tools.

Preferences :

Experience working in a trading domain with knowledge of backend trading and order execution workflows

Experience working with global delivery teams

6 years of hands-on experience with event-driven architecture and stream processing with Kafka or similar technologies

6 years of related experience in capital markets with a strong understanding of trading intraday flows and the financial industry

Pay Range :

154,500-$257,500 / yearActual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
