Role Description The Program Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Tucson, AZ. This position supports program operations by coordinating schedules, maintaining records, and assisting with participant communications. Daily responsibilities include handling administrative tasks, supporting event and workshop logistics, preparing program materials, and helping track and report program outcomes. The Program Assistant will communicate with youth, families, and partners, provide general information about services, and assist staff with research and data collection. The role involves working closely with program staff to ensure smooth delivery of services and consistent adherence to organizational procedures.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to work effectively with youth, families, staff, and community partners.
- Candidates should possess Program Management support skills, including organizing activities, tracking progress, and assisting with reporting.
- Candidates should possess Administrative Assistance skills such as scheduling, document preparation, data entry, and record keeping.
- Candidates should possess Research skills to gather, organize, and summarize information that supports program development and evaluation.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include attention to detail, proficiency with office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email), and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Experience working in community-based or youth-focused programs, and knowledge of basic mental health and adolescent development concepts, are preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum one-year administrative experience
- Valid Arizona drivers license
- Personal Vehicle, with the ability to travel from location to location as needed throughout the day.
- Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card (or ability to obtain)
- First Aid/CPR training certificate (or willing and able to obtain)
