Responsibilities
- Efficiently pick and assemble customer orders using RF scanners and
pick systems to ensure accuracy and timeliness. - Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, cranes, and other machinery safely following OSHA guidelines.
- Load and unload shipments with precision, utilizing appropriate equipment including heavy lifting techniques and mechanical knowledge.
- Manage shipping and receiving tasks, verifying contents against shipping documents, and maintaining organized storage of materials.
- Conduct regular inventory checks, update warehouse management systems (WMS), and perform cycle counts to maintain stock accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols by performing routine inspections of warehouse equipment and work areas.
- Assist in warehouse distribution activities by supporting team members with order picking, materials handling, and load & unload operations.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, shipping & receiving, and materials handling.
- Skilled in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards to promote a safe working environment.
- Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for accurate inventory control.
- Strong physical ability for heavy lifting and repetitive tasks in a fast-paced setting.
