Job Summary
The Safety Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring a safe and secure environment within the organization of MEGA SITE HYUNDAI. This position is responsible for implementing safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a culture of safety among employees. The Safety Officer will work closely with management to develop and enforce safety policies, provide training, and respond to emergencies as needed. Shift is from 16:30 PM (1 hour lunch break). MUST HAVE OSHA 30.
Duties
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services during incidents or emergencies.
- Manage conflict situations effectively, ensuring a calm resolution while prioritizing safety.
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, training sessions, and compliance reports.
- Assist in the development of loss prevention strategies to minimize risks associated with theft or damage.
- Provide guidance on best practices for workplace safety and emergency preparedness.
Qualifications
- Bilingual ENG - SPA.
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety or related field is preferred.
- Osha 30 Certification is required.
- Experience in conflict management and resolution techniques.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to educate others on safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in high-pressure situations.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills to assess risks effectively.
This role is essential for fostering a safe work environment and ensuring that all employees adhere to established safety standards at Hyundai Mega Site.
