Director of Rehabilitation - Physical Therapy

Role Description The Director of Rehabilitation – Physical Therapy is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Lancaster, TX. This role oversees daily rehabilitation operations, including scheduling, patient flow, clinical quality, and coordination among physical, occupational, and speech therapy services. The director provides direct patient care as a licensed physical therapist, performing evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, delivering interventions, and documenting progress in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring therapy staff, supporting professional development, and fostering a collaborative, patient-centered team culture. The director also works with organizational leadership on program development, performance metrics, compliance, and community outreach to support growth and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, with the ability to plan, deliver, and evaluate comprehensive therapy programs.
• Working knowledge of Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy services to effectively coordinate interdisciplinary care.
• Foundational understanding of Medicine as it relates to musculoskeletal, neurologic, and functional impairments.
• Current license (or eligibility for licensure) as a Physical Therapist in the state of Texas.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in an outpatient or rehabilitation setting is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in clinical documentation, EMR systems, and compliance with regulatory and payer requirements.
• Excellent communication, team-building, and conflict-resolution skills, with a commitment to equitable and inclusive patient care.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree preferred; relevant certifications in specialty areas (e.g., orthopedics, vestibular rehab, manual therapy) are a plus.
