Job Purpose

To schedule and perform preventative and predictive maintenance at LP Watkins, MN manufacturing facility. This facility produces LP FlameBlock, an OSB product that has a coating applied to assist with flame spread in residential, commercial, along with additional applications.

Hourly wage rage: $31.00 to $38.00 DOQ. Schedules available: Day Shift or Evening Shift openings are available, and overtime may be scheduled on both shifts based on business operational needs. Evening shift is eligible for an additional $2.50/hour shift differential.

• Day Shift: 5:00AM to 1:00PM, Monday - Friday
• Evening Shift: Noon to 10:00PM, Monday - Thursday
  
  

In This Position You Will Have The Opportunity To

• Schedule and perform complex preventative and predictive maintenance functions.
• Schedule and perform complex equipment repairs on facility equipment such as: gear boxes, pumps, conveyors, and hydraulics.
• Perform general fabrication and machinist work.
• Troubleshoot problems as necessary.
• Take elective cross training.
• May serve as lead mechanic; assign daily work to maintenance team.
• Perform other duties as necessary.
• Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.

• Skilled knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance functions.
• Skilled knowledge of maintenance equipment and tools.
• Strong time management, organization and prioritizing skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Good interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and written repair manuals.
• Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations.
  
  

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of technical training in general maintenance.
  
  

Experience

• 3 years general maintenance experience required.
• Demonstrated leadership experience is desired.
• Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
  
  

Work Environment

• The manufacturing environment includes exposure to moving parts, fumes, chemicals, airborne particles and high temperatures.
• The employee must have the ability to climb, bend, stoop, kneel, work in inclement weather, and work with elevated noise levels.
• The position requires the ability to frequently lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
