Assist the holder of the Harold Wirth Endowed Chair in Economics with research.
Ability to perform job duties with or without job duties.
- Review and providing feedback on drafts of books and articles.
- Obtain esoteric information.
- Research sources of quotes.
- Search for relevant books and articles that will assist with research.
- Read relevant books and articles that will assist with research.
- Analyze and prepare various economic data sets.
- Prepare various charts and graphs for all economic data and draft appropriate articles.
- Maintain knowledge and subject matter expertise on all economic issues.
- Perform research on various legislative issues for various economic issues and proofread and edit all documents.
- Perform various recreation surveys and perform assessment programs.
- Administer all collected data and prepare reports for same.
- Develop reports and assess all impact of same on research activities.
- Minimum High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred with Major in Business, Economics or related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong familiarity with libertarianism and (Austrian) economics.
- Strong technical skills including, managing web pages, database management, Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Ability to learn and apply new computer and technical skills.
- Self-starter, able to work independently to meet deadlines.
- Creative problem solving skills.
