| Duties and Responsibilities |
Position Summary: Loyola University Chicago School of Law is a student-focused law center dedicated to educating students to be responsible and compassionate lawyers and ethical advocates for justice and equity, and to contribute to a deeper understanding of law, legal institutions, and systems of oppression through a commitment to transformation, intersectionality, and anti-subordination in our teaching, research, scholarship, and public service. Students can expand their learning beyond the classroom through the Law School's centers, institutes, and programs. The Assistant Director supports three specific areas focused on providing students with opportunities to apply their knowledge is real-world settings, specifically the Dan K. Webb Center for Advocacy, Center for Public Interest, and Pro Bono opportunities, providing comprehensive administrative and project management leadership and execution. This work is done under the direction of and in close collaboration with the Center leaders, and in partnership with faculty and staff within the Centers and across the Law School and the University. Some key partners include the Director of Dispute Resolution and Advocacy, Moot Court Program Director, Associate Director of Advocacy, and student-facing offices including the Offices of Student Services, Career Services, and the Registrar. All positions in the School of Law report to the Associate Dean for Administration. Additionally, the Assistant Director is accountable to the leaders of the Dan K. Webb Center for Advocacy and Center for Public Interest. Additionally, the Assistant Director backs up others within the Centers and across the School of Law, as needed.
