Duties
- Operate industrial cremation equipment safely and efficiently, following all safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
- Prepare cremation chambers and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with environmental standards.
- Assist with the proper handling, identification, and transportation of pets before and after cremation processes.
- Perform heavy lifting of pet remains and related materials using appropriate techniques and equipment to prevent injury.
- Maintain detailed records of each cremation, including identification tags, process logs, and documentation for legal and client purposes.
- Conduct routine inspections of cremation machinery and industrial equipment to identify maintenance needs or potential issues.
- Support funeral directing staff by coordinating logistics and ensuring respectful treatment of pets throughout the process.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge is essential for operating and troubleshooting cremation equipment and industrial machinery.
